SR, RT and Max2012

When I click on the RT button.I am told that max 2012 doesn't support engine switch. How do I get SR to use RT?
If I switch the renderer manually to Activeshade/RT, and click render, SR tells me to switch back to production renderer in the render panel. If I do this, it just uses normal vray (not RT).

Help please.

Hello !
Unfortunately, i tried many ways but i was not able to automate the switch between production and activeshade in max 2012 and older versions.
Autodesk added some maxscripts code in max2013 wich allow to do this.

I'm still tring to find a way, and i'm in relation with autodesk support at this moment to find a way.

any new on this?

I'm getting the message
"please switch back to production render before using solid rocks" and i have no clue about what to do now since i try a lot of options to no avail

like any good problem I solved it after posting the question.

To anyone with the same problem, at the Render Setup screen, right at the bottom I have to manually set the assigned render from V-ray to the default scanline setting and then go to the SR button so the program can do the change back to Vray.

Hope this helps another frustrated user.
