Jérôme: Well, each time I uncheck and check again Gamma Correction it takes time for the mini preview calculation. That's one of the reasons why I prefer to use sRGB button in VFB. You can always duplicate then without double gamma, since sRGB doesn't burn into the image. Please see my other post, It´s a wish to SR be compatible with sRGB. Is there a chance?
Onsnapcad: It seems Max Output Gamma is set to 2,2. (should be set to 1 in your case)

hmm..
i'll try first to not re-render mini preview on SR \"gamma correction on/off\" checking/unchecking. Will test how it works like this.
It's complex because some users are using max vfb, and others Vray vfb...
The thing is that i can't manipulate Vray VFB Srgb button via Scripting.. i'll search on that point, but i'm pretty sure it is just not possible actually.
Anyway, I promise to find a way for your request;)

Srbg is approx like gamma 2.2, but actually, SR, at render time, apply a 1.0 gamma on Max gamma, and 2.2 on bitmap input gamma (and 2.2 on Vray colormapping gamma)
Perhaps would you prefer to specify by yourself the bitmap input gamma ?

I think it's very simple to handle it.
If user choose MFB - SR set gamma 2,2 in the color mapping. (like it is now)
If user choose VFB - SR doesn't change gamma in the color mapping and user use sRGB button.
The is no advantage to burn gamma 2,2 to the image. With the sRGB user can:
- duplicate framebuffers without double gamma
- little bit faster renders
- maintain in LWF for further post (After Effects...)
- to save HDR images user must mantain in LWF (no gamma burned)

ok, dude..
but you tip is only valable with gamma 2.2..
i think there is at least 2 advantages to burn gamma into image : less grain in dark areas(but little bit longer), and simple use for non-power users, or persons who are not familiar with gamma things...
I'll prepare Srgb option as you suggested. when early prevesion start to works, can i send you by mail some non public beta for testing ?

Yes, sRGB is for LWF, other gamma value is not a true LWF.
Ok, I had an idea to bypass this limitation:
Keep things how they are and just create a button called \"use sRGB\" in SR.
With this button checked, SR does not change gamma color mapping and let user check sRGB button in VFB.
